New changes to SCLB

Blogging has definitely seen some growth and changes the last couple of years- new social media to use, new opportunities, laws, rules and trends that bloggers are constantly striving to understand and utilize.

We have always tried to keep an open conversation about the business of blogging and worked for members to learn through and alongside each other.

As SoCal Lady Bloggers has grown, the opportunities that can be created through this amazing group of ladies has also made themselves shown.

With our lovely ladies in mind, some changes are going to be made to SoCal Lady Bloggers in the future.

First of all – Megan, proud founder and partner, is narrowing her focus within the leadership of this group.

SoCal Lady Bloggers started with a tweet from the late Sidney Patrick after I mentioned I wish there was a way to keep in touch with all of the great SoCal ladies I had met at BlogHer 2011. A group sprung up on Facebook immediately and adds swarmed the group. Over the last year and a half the group has grown, changed, and found a purpose connecting bloggers with other bloggers and with opportunities to broaden their horizons. Sometimes it has run away with us, sometimes it has strengthened us, but every day it has inspired and supported us.

SoCal Lady Bloggers is ready for a new path in the road and I have decided to let it take this next step without me.

I am going to continue on as moderator of the Facebook group so I can do what I do best- cheer lead our members and steer conversations towards fun, education and support.

While I am saddened that Megan won’t be by my side as we move forward, I am excited to see where new paths take her. One thing I love about SCLB is watching as we grow and change in our own personal lives and professional careers. I have never been a part of a more supportive group of women, and I hope that will continue to be the focus of SCLB. I only want each one of us to be better and to do better. There are some exciting changes that will be happening over the next few weeks/months. I hope you will all continue to enjoy this journey with me.

  1. Megan, Carolyn, and Sidney have been instrumental in shaping the atmosphere of my blog world. They are the Super Stars of my blog life! I support you in everything you decide to do Megan and Carolyn, with all my heart. You are special ladies! The term “Lady” is defined as “a well-mannered and considerate woman with high standards of proper behavior” and I am honored to be a part of this special group.

  2. Megan, Carolyn and in some way Sidney, have made this change from NY to LA and to the world of blogging a wonderful one. Thank you all for creating this wonderful group!

Megan, I’m excited to learn more about how your new addition will expand the vision and experiences that are yet to come. I’m certain that while your role here may chance your presence will always be felt and welcomed!

Carolyn, if you need any assistance in the future in any capacity that I’m qualified for, please don’t hesitate to ask. I’m proud to call you my friend and I thank you for allowing me to become a part of such a great group of supportive and smart women!

2013 looks very exciting for the SCLB and I can’t wait to see what is in store.

    Best,
